The strange thing was that when taking a screen shot the lines were not noticeable and didnt show up on the picture. Colored vertical lines are usually a failed gate driver, while thin black vertical lines are loose tab connectors which can be repaired at home. The best way to check if your monitor or HDMI cable is to blame is to connect your computer to another working monitor and see if the red lines appear on it as well. The lines would change color at times and even became a solid black stripe. If you have a desktop computer and a monitor, then a monitor or a loose or faulty HDMI cable could be causing the problem. That’s why it is good to write the name of your video card model. You’re going to need to download them again. If you're using a CRT screen, try degaussing the monitor. Note that this means you won’t have your video card drivers anymore. To fix coloration and distortion on a computer screen, power the monitor on and off, restart the computer, and make sure the cable between the monitor and computer is connected securely. The red lines should disappear, if the red lines persist, there might be a hardware issue.
